You know that thing where you know what you want to say but can’t find the words in your head?
“What’s the name of the Apple tv thing?” I asked Tracey tonight.
I’d put up a couple of things on the Big Family Little Income Facebook page about The Princess Bride and the comments had me thinking – why haven’t I downloaded this and other classic movies (The Last Starfighter, Labyrinth, Anne of Green Gables, Stand By Me, Ladyhawke, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Pollyanna, The Dark Crystal, Willow, The Lost Boys) so the kids can overlook them to watch episodes of Dora? Well that would have to change.
But first I wanted to write a comment about it on my blog’s Facebook page.
“The Apple TV thing?” Tracey repeated back to me.
“Yeah. What’s the Apple TV thing called we can watch Youtube and download movies with?” I asked.
“Do you mean the Apple TV?” she asked me pointedly, eyebrows raised in a ‘the penny’s going to drop for him any second now or I’m having him checked for Dementia first thing in the morning’ sort of way.
“Oh, right,” I said sheepishly.
“Would you like me to spell it for you?” asked Tracey, sprinkling a little tone into her question.
From here I was reduced to making excuses.
“I thought it was iSomething,” I explained, whining. “Like iPhone or iPad.”
“Or iFarkingstupid?” she grinned at me.
You know that thing where you know what you want to say but can’t find the words in your head? Yeah, well my wife doesn’t have that problem.
If this amused you please share with your friends 🙂
It really does make a difference.
