Night Moves

I’ve generally enjoyed the great outdoors at night. Those days are over.
One of the things I wanted more of before today was photos of the ship and what it’s like, so the kids and I took a heap on our phones and I’ve uploaded them here.
I know men are typically expected to control the remotes, but that doesn’t happen like that on the bus.
As well as my latest anecdote, I’ve included a video of me getting the car onto our trailer, and photos from Port Fairy and Warrnambool
“What’s wrong?” Tracey asked from somewhere behind me and to my left. “Why are we stopping?”
The road sign at the T junction pointed to our destination in one direction and Lightning Ridge in the other. We sat there for couple of minutes trying to decide where to go. Did we have enough time up our sleeve? Was it worth the diesel? We knew the name but what was actually there? Ultimately, what it came down to was could we think of any reason not to? In the end, we swiped right. It was the right decision.
We’ve been – I want to say trapped – at Tracey’s parents’ place for months now waiting for Tracey to feel up to travelling and working again. Then Master12’s appendix had to be expelled from his body and that’s slowed us down some more. The good news is the bus is looking and running fantastic, and we’re going to do a walkthrough to show everyone our set up shortly.
Been so busy watching Tracey’s dad work on our bus I haven’t had the time to blog. It’s all about to be completed though and we’ll be on our way again. Can’t wait. Meanwhile, this…
I haven’t written this week because a couple of things have happened. Big things. HUGE.
So tonight I thought I might share a couple of things we’ve discovered so far. There are a heap of links in this post, but nothing’s sponsored here and we’re not receiving any kickbacks. This is just what we’ve found which we thought might be useful or interesting or just because my fingers decided you needed to know.
Tracey had to work today – she was gone for ten hours. While she was away from the bus the kids made my life hell and put together a wonderful little ‘This Is Your Life’ play for her. Hope all you mothers out there had a lovely day and received loads of love and chocolate. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!
Not having done much camping, and certainly no motorhoming, we’re basically making up rules as we go. Well, I am…
Sometimes our kids say the most wonderful things. And sometimes…
Big Lap: Lake Keepit – Tamworth – Sydney
Suddenly I realised, instead of showing how little I knew about constellations, I had a chance to impart some of the smarts I’ve picked up on Youtube about stuff I do know about.

It’s been a day of odd conversations.
