Don’t be a clothes horse, be a clothes squirrel

When Target or Best & Less or Pumpkin Patch or Big W are having a sale on kid’s clothes, we’re there whether we need them or not.

Instead of buying clothes that fit the kids now we buy for when they grow, so when stores are discounting their winter stock in spring we stock up for the following year.

We have a series of boxes stored up high in the cupboards marked with size and gender. As the kids move out of a size, we pull down the next appropriate box and we’re away. If you wait until your kids outgrow their clothes you have no option but to buy at a premium.
