The bus is sitting quietly in from of Tracey’s parents’ place. The kids, not so much.
I know good parenting is essentially about routine, but I am so over repeating the same things over and over again.
Without Tracey’s guidance I’ve already reverted to making roomy mistakes parenting the kids….
My dad has a habit of showing up even when he’s not here.
Tracey just told me I am terrible at bedtime stories. What do you think?
Blessed bedtime was upon us. Well, not us so much as the kids, which is the blessed bit.
“Not that story,” Miss5 said when I suggested yet another from a way too big book of bedtime stories. I flicked a few pages to one about monkeys. It looked fantastic. Only a couple of dozen words a page.
“I want a story,” Miss4 demanded when I was tucking her into bed.
There were none to hand because the books were at the other end of the house in the dining room.
“Let’s make a story up,” I suggested.
My 8 yr old son wants to know at what age I’ll let him sleep with girls. It’s okay it’s not what you’re thinking. I know because at first I was thinking it too.
I can’t let my guard down for a minute with my kids. They’re always trying to put one over me. Especially Miss5.
