Bin Here Before

No wonder I’m on drugs.
I’ve been parenting for 27 years now and, as my youngest is only seven, I figure I’ve still got at least 10 to go.
No wonder I’m on drugs.
Before Miss3 entered the world I’d convinced myself she was going to be a boy. I’m so glad I was wrong.
We’d both decided, without a word to each other, to not get up this morning. If only we’d remembered to tell our youngest child.
Every now and then I see a glimpse of me coming out in the kids. Which is fine. Unless my wife sees it as well.
I’ve spent my holidays trying to show how indispensable I am around the house. So close, and yet, predictably, so very, very far….
“Are you sure you’ll be okay?” Tracey asked me again. She was going away in the morning so I’d have all the kids. “Piece of cake,” I told her. Proof not all cake tastes good.
I got up to the baby last night.
I acknowledge Tracey does this most the time, but it’s nice to help out.
So when I told my wife what I’d done, her response of “yeah, right” wasn’t what I was expecting.
She didn’t believe me!
