Every year, for the month of July, the BOQ branches around the country raise money for five of the country’s fabulous children’s hospitals in our Banking On Our Kids appeal. Our lovely manager, Jellina White, ordered us lunch to be delivered because the girls were feeling a little uncomfortable about hitting the streets in their costumes. I wasn’t.
We’re well into the school holidays now and we’ve done the parks, bike riding, forcing our children to watch our favourite movies from when we were kids and we’ve played every board game and card game in the house. Maybe that’s why today things went a little silly.
If it’s one thing I don’t understand it’s all those mail boxes I see around town with ‘No Junk Mail’ stickers on them. I love my junk mail. I get excited when my letter box is full of catalogues.
There’s only one chapter left to tell of our Bridget Jones style (plus toddler) ‘mini-break’ – that of the automobile. Buckle up.
