Picking up the pieces

Sometimes I’m blown away by people’s generosity. A good friend of Tracey’s gave us all their kids puzzles today because her children have grown out of them. These are high quality, wooden puzzles like the daycares have, not the cardboard cheapies we usually buy.

On the way home all the pieces of the puzzles fell into a heap at the bottom of the bag, which turned out to be a good thing. Tonight, for fun and to tidy them up, we sat on the lounge room floor with the kids putting them all back together. I thought it was going to be a bit of a chore, but we all had buckets of fun working them out.

And I’m pleased to say, the kids thought I was pretty good at it.
