Grandma’s Chocolate Chip Chocolate Cookies

Master8 made these with Grandma this morning and the whole lot have already disappeared. I love plain choc chip cookies myself, but my kids prefer the cookie to be chocolate as well as the chips, and the choc bits, for that matter, to be both dark and white chocolate. It’s choc overload for me. It’s just right for them. But they were made for the kids, so it’s all good 🙂

You will need:

1 1/2 cups plain flour

3/4 cup cocoa powder

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

180g butter

150g dark chocolate

3 eggs

1 cup dark choc bits

1/3 cup white choc bits

STEP ONE: Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

STEP TWO: Sift flour and cocoa into a large bowl then stir in the sugar.

STEP THREE: Melt butter and dark chocolate over a low heat, stirring continually until mixture is smooth.

STEP FOUR: Make a well in dry mixture then stir in beaten eggs and butter mixture. Mix until combined.

STEP FIVE: Stir in the dark and white choc bits.

STEP SIX: Line baking trays with baking paper and spoon tablespoon sized heaps onto the tray, evenly spaced.

STEP SEVEN: Bake for 15 minutes.

STEP EIGHT: Allow cookies to cook for at least 5 minutes before moving them to a wire rack to cool.
